What is Cyber bullying?

According to Wikepedia, "Cyberbullying or cyberharassment is a form of bullying or harassment using electronic forms of contact. Cyberbullying has become increasingly common, especially among teenagers." This is completly true. lets see what common sense media has to say about it. "Cyberbullying is the use of digital-communication tools (such as the Internet and cell phones) to make another person feel angry, sad, or scared, usually again and again." they aproched it with a more emotional aproch. but no matter who is talking about it or what it is. it is still an issue. so the big question is how do we stop cyberbullying.

How do we stop Cyberbullying?

Ok so there are alot of different ways of dealing with a regular old bully. if they punch you, tell the principal, they get in trouble, DONE! with cyber bullying it's not so easy. You may not know who your chatting with or who's posting a picture of you online. The internet today is a place where anyone can be anybody. There is really no good way to avoid cyberbullying... BUT we can fight it. if enough people were to stand up and tell others to stop it could send a very powerful message to those people who sit behind a mask all day, living a lie. Now of course if your being bullied right now and dont know what to there are some steps you can take;

  1. Print out the evidence
  2. Block the person
  3. Tell someone (your parents, a teacher, a friend)
  4. If you know who's doing it talk to there parents
  5. Join a support group
  6. If all else fails go to the newspapers, get people to notice

Now at this point you may be thinking to youself. "Kalix these steps will never work, people are teasing me in real life. How do I stop that?" And if you were to say that outloud I would respond, "Stand Up." what i mean by this is EXPOSE whoever is doing it, theres usually one central person or small group.
